Refund Policy

1. Your 14-day cancellation right
As a consumer in the United Kingdom, you normally have a 14-day right to cancel a distance contract under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, starting from the day after the contract is concluded.
2. Why this matters — early performance
Our service is the preparation and physical postal dispatch of your HMRC MATCF form. We aim to send the form quickly — often within a few business days of payment — so that any backdated claim is in HMRC's hands as soon as possible.
For that reason, at checkout we ask you to expressly request that we begin performing the service during the 14-day cancellation period, and to acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel once the service has been fully performed (i.e. once we have printed and posted your form to HMRC). This is permitted under regulation 36 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
3. What this means in practice
- Cancellation before we post the form → full refund. If you cancel before we have handed your MATCF form to the postal carrier, we will refund the full £29 service fee.
- Cancellation after we post the form → no refund. Once the form has been posted, the service has been fully performed and you are no longer entitled to a refund of our service fee.
- We will let you know by e-mail when your form is posted, so you can see the moment performance is completed.
4. How to cancel
To cancel, e-mail us at [CONTACT EMAIL — to be confirmed] from the address you used to order, including your service reference number (format MA-XXXXXX). A clear written statement is enough — you do not have to use a particular form, but the model cancellation form from the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 is acceptable.
5. How and when we refund
We will refund eligible cancellations within 14 days of receiving your cancellation, using the same payment method you used for the original transaction, unless you expressly agree otherwise. There is no fee for the refund itself.
6. HMRC refunds are separate
Any Marriage Allowance tax refund is paid by HMRC directly to you — typically by bank transfer or cheque. We never receive your HMRC refund and we never deduct anything from it. This policy concerns only the £29 service fee you pay to us.
7. Errors caused by us
If your form is rejected by HMRC because of a clear and demonstrable processing error on our side, contact us and we will work with you in good faith to correct and re-submit the form at no additional cost. This is in addition to, and does not limit, any statutory rights you have.
